Birthday Surprise!

I feel like I've received so much this year. And since it's my birthday I can do whatever I want right?! Well I want to share with one of you. I know it's not a ton, but everybody loves a freebie. :)
I bet you wondering how you can get your chance to receive. I want you to post what would be your ideal birthday. Like mine would be not having to cook or clean all day... spending it with family who would do anything I asked without complaint... maybe a movie... a nice dinner( my mom's fried chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes and corn )... Cake ice cream and presents... and end my day snuggling with my honey on the couch.
I'll leave it open until Monday morning and draw a name. So get going I want to know your perfect Birthday!

well, first i have to say happy birthday!!!!

and for the perfect birthday for me would be....
everyone to remember my birthday.
the house would magically be cleaned, jeff would take care of the kids while I got a nap.
My mom would come all the way from Sacramento, we would antique shop and go to a movie and then she would make me my very favorite diner - Roast Beef with Mash potatoes, gravy and candied carrots.
i would scrapbook with my very best friend in the world. Amy.
At the end of the day. I would just zone out to with my hubby.
and open the presents he took months to plan and find he shopped for me.

Happy Birthday Amy! My ideal Birthday would be not having to work, sleeping in until 9:00, beautiful weather, surrounded by family and friends, playing card games, eating an ice cream cake, ordering out (so no one has to cook or clean up) and being engulfed with smiles & laughter. I don't even need any presents. :) Just hanging out with family and friends is gift enough for me. We could toss in all snuggling together to watch a comedy movie as well. Another option is having my birthday at the beach...still with all my family and friends. Just hangin out together. Enjoying the beautiful day and no sress. :)

Hope you day meeting your ideal requirements...fun and relaxful.

Hugs,

Melinda

Happy Birthday Amy!!
My ideal birthday would be to sleep in and have Dan get the kids ready. I would meet a friend for my favorite coffee and a croissant. Then I would shop at Chicos for awhile with the gift card I received, then to lunch with another friend and then to the spa for a facial. For dinner I would go to a new place and then come home to have cake with the kids, not a bought cake though, a boxed cake (chocolate or white) with yummy frosting (vanilla colored pink) and sprinkles LOL...
But if all else fails, the cake would still be nice LOl.

Happy Birthday Amy!

As for me the perfect birthday would begin with breakfast in bed...either French toast with powdered sugar and syrup OR cinnamon rolls with ooey gooey frosting! Then I would get to take a nice, long, leisurely shower with plenty of warm water and my favorite shower gels. Hubby would then surprise me with a gift certificate to a spa where I could spend the afternoon getting pampered: facial, manicure, massage, you name it! I would return home beautiful and refreshed where I would be greeted by hubby and the kids with a chocolate cake. Then hubby and I would get to just spend the rest of the evening together.

First, Happy Birthday Amy! It's been a while since I've been on AMM, but I've always loved your work.

I actually just celebrated my birthday this past weekend, and it really didn't meet my expectations I guess. SO my PERFECT b'day, would be to stay in my pjs, in my new scrap room (which would be my b'day present from DH), scrap all day without tiny fingers pilfering through my stuff, and only come out for meals. For lunch we'd eat yummy chicken salad sandwhiches from the little deli across the street. then for dinner, it's gotta be seafood, namely shrimp, cause it's a tradition. We'd eat dinner, just the two of us, then go home, snuggle on the couch and watch "Sweet Home Alabama" or "Failure to Launch". That'd be my perfect b'day.

Hope you get a day off, and enjoy your day! You'll have to post and let us know how it went! :)

HAppy B Day...great blog!
I would have to say my perfect Bday would be me with a couple of friends at a hotel room..ok a suite...LOL for an all night scrap. My kiddles would be well taken care of by grandma so I could totally relax. In the morning after(if we ever went to sleep in the first place) we would be served REAL bacon, eggs and toast...complete with coffee...in bed of course and we would be able to piddle until we decided to leave, no hurries, no checking out at noon, nuttin like that, just a lazy day with no housework, kiddles, laundry...NOTHING. Oh yeah, I also would want a personal assistant to pack all my scrap stuff up before I went and when I was ready to leave. I would say that would be about a perfect birthday if there ever was one..WOO HOO!!!

happy birthday amy!!! :) i am glad you had a great birthday!

my ideal birthday....
i would sleep in and take my time getting ready. i would go shopping and get to scrapbook. and get a massage. dinner would be chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. and my friends and family would be there. then a movie with my husband and dessert (cheesecake!) afterwards.
obviously there aren't enough hours in a day for all of that, but it sounds perfect.

My perfect birthday...would be that my whole family would be there...my birthday is in Oct, so not usually a time where everyone can get together. We wouldn't have to do anything spectacular, just be together.

Happy B-Day chick!
Well, hmmm, my perfect B-day would be to wake up to a clean and quiet house (I have two small boys) and have breakfast preared and waiting for me --fried eggs, potatoes, bacon, grits, all the good stuff alongside a mug of starbucks carmel macchiato. Then a scavenger hunt around the house for presents (I like being surprised) and off to a shopping spree at my LSS with girlfriends. SPend the night with my hubby alone because my kids slpet over at my mom's--husband would have to arrange that ahead of time to make it a magical B-day hehe.

Have fun AMY--Can't wait to see ya soon at AMM!

I searched everywhere for a great deal and finally found it at Ordio in Westfield Bondi Junction. I rang them first and asked every question I could think of and everything was answered to my satisfaction so I went ahead and made the purchase. Shipping was fast. Everything was perfect. I'm pretty darn happy and I'm playing it right now. Not sure if they ship outside of Oz but you won't be sorry if they do.

Amazing sound...

It is true, there is a great deal on the net about Thoi trang nam, but we have found it to be spread all over the place. It does seem that what can be taken and used depends on certain requirements. The thing about it is that you have to think about linked topics that could have a direct bearing on you. There is usually much more you can come across and use that will be very beneficial to you. To be sure, even the best online experts sometimes get stumped when searching for special kinds of information. This is some extra, and important, clues about this very specific subject that no doubt will serve you well.

The relative complexities of women's and men's style

Both women and men can feel the demands of maintaining their clothing up-to-date and in season, yet men's fashion frequently seems a lot less complicated. Of program, for both genders, garments and style options may be quite as delicate, and there are numerous'stylish'items that could easily become fashion faux pas - who can say they often see people walking around in 70s flares? On the other hand, men's fashion has a few choice goods that can exist forever - which man is going to look out of place with a good-quality, tailored suit, for example? Select basic pieces, colours and fabrics and you'll never seem out-of-place.

Why common men's fashion is amazing

The common man's suit has scarcely changed for over a hundred years. True, there are numerous varieties for various situations, however they are all popular in their quest for a clever, sharp try to find the individual. The best part about common style for men is that it is simply stylish effortlessly neat. A well-groomed lady can almost always look his sharpest in a well-tailored suit, and it is a testament to the design of such apparel. A suit will undoubtedly be used to work in several occupations due to the professional search it provides to the person, instilling a sense of respect and trust. Equally a match will be used to several social occasions, such as a tuxedo to a black-tie event. This incredible versatility which allows suits to be worn in almost all functions is what gives it its timeless border and a permanent invest men's fashion.

Contemporary developments in classic men's style

Although basic men's designs will never be changed, it is interesting to observe that shifts in men's fashion trends have brought particular traditional clothes back into fashion. The acceptance of vintage clothing, specially, has taken back a wide-variety of classic designs into men's wardrobes, such as that of the dandy gentleman. 'Dandy'is a term used to make reference to men who dress yourself in a classic yet lavish way, placing value on appearance and working in a refined manner. This development for almost'over-the-top'traditional style for men is evident from events such as the'Tweed Run', where men and women of all ages dress yourself in notably Victorian-style attire and take to the roads on vintage cycles - with most of the men sporting impressive mustaches! That is just one single of several types of evidence displaying the resurrection of such styles. There are also numerous sites on the web which focus on gentlemanly style - such as'The Dandy Project'and'Dandyism'- as well as whole websites such as'The Art of Manliness'specialized in providing articles on traditional men's fashion and grooming.

In summary, although certain facets of traditional men's style can be brought back as new developments, the fundamental outfits which they are based on will never fall out of fashion.

"All it takes are a few basic outfits. And there's one key - the easier the better." - Cary Grant
